Region Cadet Leadership School - South

Region Cadet Leadership School - South (MARCLS-S)

Region cadet leadership school (RCLS) is a course in officership, indirect leadership, and other themes consistent with CAP’s leadership expectations for Phase III cadets. These academies make use of local resources to broaden leadership skills in cadet officers and NCOs.

In this course, students will acquire practical experience in leading indirectly, problem-solving, effective writing, speaking, and group dynamics. Cadets who successfully complete this course, become eligible to receive the Eaker Award and gain fundamental officership skills.

This course is academically rigorous, students should be familiar with effective writing techniques, time management skills, and be prepared for public speaking. MAR-CLS draws a range of guest speakers from the military and CAP.

Location: MCAS Cherry Point, NC

Dates: 26 July – 1 August 2026

NOTE: MARCLS-South is NOT a Cadet Special Activity this year so is not using the NCSA application procedures or timeline.
